The College hosted ‘Flag Raising Ceremony’ at 8:00 a.m. The Chair of the College Council Lau Veng Seng led the Ceremony. Teachers and Students paid their respect to the May Fourth Movement and demonstrated their patriotism.
KWNC hosted the ‘Themed Sharing, Cap Conferment and Pinning Ceremony’ at 9:00 a.m. at the Conference Centre. There were two themes, the first theme was national ‘Two Sessions’ meetings (the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)) spiritual transmission. The second theme was alumni sharing.
The College invited CPPCC Member, Member of the College Council, and Consultant of Students’ Union Wong Kit Cheng, to convey the spirit of the Two Sessions to teachers and students, and for them to further understand the development of the country.
President Van Iat Kio expressed that guests who attended the events this year are all outstanding graduates of the College. They are role models in promoting the developing nursing profession in Macao. This also demonstrates that KWNC carries forward high-quality education from generation to generation.
Student representative of the Cap Conferment and Pinning Ceremony Fok Weng Lam expressed that Florence Nightingale had always led nursing staff to accomplish the mission of protecting health and life. As nursing students, we should also assume responsibility of caring for patients and the general public. In the past three years, facing the epidemic, nurses have become the backbone of the anti-epidemic process. No matter what challenges we face, we must face them valiantly and be determined. This is also the obligation of KWNC students and future nurses.
