Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) held the ‘Fresh Beginning’ 100th Anniversary History Culture Lecture Series in the lobby of the Islands District Medical Complex Campus in the afternoon of 14th October. There were nearly 100 participants, including senior alumni.

Teachers, students, and staff delivered a new form of lecture combining singing and dancing for the nursing seniors and peers who came to the event, hoping to have unity and convey the message of creating conditions to enhance the level of nursing education. 

President Van Iat Kio delivered a vote of thanks to teachers, students, and staff for their concerted efforts during the summer, allowing all KWNC campuses in Macao to relocate to Coloane without delaying the teaching progress. She said that the expansion of the teaching environment and the increase in the number of students create challenges and opportunities. She hoped that teachers and students will relentlessly pursue the improvement of the professional level of nursing in the new environment and contribute to local, medical and health care.

The evert organiser, Professor Zhu Mingxia, expressed that in addition to an early celebration for next year’s 100th anniversary, the activity is to encourage socialising, gather nursing strength, and jointly start the new century at the new Campus.
