Under the policy framework for deepening cooperation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Macao's inaugural ‘One Examination, Three Certificates’ skills assessment for geriatric caregivers was successfully conducted on 13 December 2025 at Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC). The event attracted 20 participants comprising practitioners from local care institutions and students enrolled in relevant professional programmes. Successful candidates will receive locally recognised vocational skill certificates issued jointly by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Labour Affairs Bureau in Macau, and the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, achieving ‘one examination, three-territory certification’.
This ‘one examination, three certificates’ assessment venue for geriatric caregivers was hosted by KWNC with support from the Labour Affairs Bureau. The examination comprised theoretical and practical assessments covering the professional competencies required for elderly care work. Assessment protocols were jointly designed by experts from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to ensure rigour, scientific validity and alignment with regional industry standards.
