On February 6, 2026, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) Students' Union and Sub-club of Students' Union held the 23rd inauguration ceremony for its new leadership. The members of the new Student Union and its sub-club took the oath of office under the witness of many guests, students and teachers of the College as well as representatives of student unions of various associations and higher education institutions.

KWNC President, Van Iat Kio, highly commended the Student Union's 23-year development journey, noting its evolution from initial beginnings to its current structure encompassing eight major affiliated societies. This year's addition of the “Coffee Learning Association” not only enriches campus cultural life but also vividly embodies students' youthful vitality, passion for life, and spirit of innovation. Furthermore, Van expressed immense pride in the over 300 students who volunteered at the National Games and participated in home surveys for the elderly over the past three months. She emphasized that their actions embodied the social responsibility of nursing professionals, with their outstanding performance receiving high recognition from the SAR government. This exemplifies the spirit of “people-oriented, dedicated service.”

In her address, President of the Student Union, Chan Hang U, stated that the new executive team will harness professional expertise and youthful initiative to unite student efforts, enrich campus life, and promote nursing humanism. Through service and practice, they will grow into compassionate, responsible, and proactive nursing youth. The newly elected Student Union and affiliated association members solemnly pledged to fulfill their duties with dedication, collaborate in unity, and deliver pragmatic services. With fervent enthusiasm and rigorous professionalism, they will build bridges of communication between faculty and students, cultivate a diverse and uplifting campus atmosphere, and harness the vitality of youth and the expertise of nursing to compose a chapter of youthful brilliance and responsible stewardship for this cohort.
