The Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) and the School of Nursing at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) have maintained a close friendship over the years, working together to promote the internationalisation of nursing education and dedicated to nurturing outstanding nursing professionals with a global perspective. Since establishing their partnership in the 1990s, the two institutions have achieved significant results in academic exchange and talent development; the exchange programme, which was formally launched in 2021, has further enriched the collaboration between the two parties.

This year, PUMC has once again selected four outstanding students to come to Macao for an exchange programme. KWNC provides the exchange students with a comprehensive learning environment and support services, enabling them to gain an in-depth understanding of Macao’s unique model of healthcare education and to experience first-hand the distinctive features of healthcare development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Meanwhile, four third-year students from our college have also arrived safely in Beijing to commence their academic journey at the School of Nursing, Peking Union Medical College. They will undertake professional coursework at this nationally renowned leading medical institution and have the opportunity to undertake placements at prestigious medical facilities such as Peking Union Medical Centre Hospital. Through on-site observation and practical training, they will comprehensively enhance their professional skills and clinical reasoning abilities.
