In support of the Macao SAR Government’s efforts to promote the internationalisation of higher education and to further deepen educational exchanges and cooperation between Macao and Malaysia,Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) has been actively advancing its internationalisation process and is committed to attracting more outstanding nursing and health sciences talents from Southeast Asia to pursue studies in Macao.
Recently, the “Study in Macao” Branded Education Fair, organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 4 September. Vice President Ng Wai I led representatives from the Admissions Team to participate in the event, where they introduced Macao’s quality higher education resources to local students and parents, and comprehensively showcased the College’s distinctive features, curriculum strengths, and achievements in nursing education.
The education fair aimed to build a platform for higher education and youth talent exchanges between Macao and Malaysia, while further expanding the international student recruitment market for Macao’s higher education institutions. At the opening ceremony, Vice President Ng Wai I was invited to join officiating guests and representatives from Macao’s higher education institutions for a group photo, witnessing the launch of the “Study in Macao” Branded Education Fair. Officiating guests then toured the booths of participating institutions to learn more about their admissions information and programme features.
During the fair, the College’s Admissions Team received many Malaysian students and parents, providing detailed information on Macao’s study environment, scholarship policies, and further study pathways. The team also highlighted the College’s programmes in nursing and health sciences, faculty strengths, clinical practicum platforms, scholarship arrangements, and overseas dual master’s degree articulation projects. In addition, they offered detailed responses to enquiries regarding admission requirements, application procedures, and career prospects, fully demonstrating the College’s solid foundation and professional strengths in nursing education.
The College’s participation in the education fair in Kuala Lumpur represents an important initiative in response to the Macao SAR Government’s strategy for the internationalisation of higher education and its efforts to further engage with the ASEAN education market. Looking ahead, the College will continue to leverage Macao’s platform for external exchanges, broaden its channels for international cooperation, attract more outstanding students from Southeast Asia to study in Macao, and contribute to the high-quality international development of Macao’s higher education.
